Mr. Tulchinsky is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of WorldQuant, LLC, which he established in 2007 following 12 years as a statistical arbitrage portfolio manager at Millennium Management. Prior to joining Millennium Management, Mr. Tulchinsky was a venture capitalist, scientist at AT&T Bell Laboratories, video game programmer and author. He holds an MA in Computer Science from the University of Texas, completed in a record nine months, and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School.
Mr. Chropuvka is President of WorldQuant, contributing to leadership of investing activities, global business strategy and day-to-day business operations. Prior to joining WorldQuant in October 2020, he spent more than 20 years at Goldman Sachs and was a partner at the firm. Most recently, he was co-head of the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Previously, he oversaw the QIS team’s customized beta, tax-efficient and alternative risk premia businesses. He was also formerly a senior portfolio manager in the QIS Equity Alpha business. Mr. Chropuvka began his career on Wall Street in 1993 in Morgan Stanley’s Correspondent Clearing Group after earning a BA in mathematics from Rutgers University. He also has a master’s in financial engineering from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder.
Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, WorldQuant, LLC
Mr. Lauprete oversees WorldQuant’s investment research, investment strategy, risk management and capital allocation, as well as the development and deployment of the firm’s back-testing software. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2007, Mr. Lauprete was a Portfolio Manager at Millennium Management and a Quantitative Analyst at Deutsche Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from MIT and a BS in Physics from Tufts University.
Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, WorldQuant, LLC
Mr. Blomberg oversees WorldQuant's global Legal, Human Resources and Data Procurement functions. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2014, Mr. Blomberg was a partner in the law firm of Withers Bergman LLP, where he served as WorldQuant's outside general counsel. Before joining Withers, Mr. Blomberg was a partner at Pullman & Comley, LLC. Mr. Blomberg holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Colgate University.
Mr. Marom is responsible for oversight of WorldQuant’s financial management processes and facilities functions. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2014, Mr. Marom served as Chief Financial Officer at The Rohatyn Group and Global Product Manager for the Plexus Group, Inc., a subsidiary of JP Morgan. Before that, he held several positions within JP Morgan, including Manager of Strategic Business Development. Mr. Marom holds an MS in Management and Financial Management and a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Rukshin oversees WorldQuant's technology and operations function. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Rukshin held numerous positions at D. E. Shaw group, including global head of IT infrastructure engineering and operations. Prior to that, he worked at Chase Manhattan Bank, supporting Equities, FX and Fixed Income trading desks, and began his career as a systems programmer at AT&T Labs Research. Mr. Rukshin holds an MS in Technology Management from Columbia University and a BS in Management Science and Information Systems from Rutgers University.
Vice Chairman and Chief Research Officer, Emeritus, WorldQuant, LLC
Mr. Hu oversees the WorldQuant Leadership Institute. Previously, he spearheaded the global expansion of WorldQuant’s research activities as Chief Research Officer. Mr. Hu has been working with WorldQuant since January 2007. Prior to WorldQuant, he was the General Manager in Millennium Management's research office in Beijing, China, and before that was the principal of Ivy League Consulting Group. He has also held positions at PowerPlan Corp., TM1 Software and AT&T Bell Labs. Mr. Hu holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a MSEE and BSEE from the University of Minnesota.
As Chief Science Officer, Dr. Griffin leads WorldQuant’s quantitative research design process. He is also Chairman of the firm’s Global Research Committee and guides multiple cross-functional programs involving portfolio management, research and technology. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2011, Dr. Griffin was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the FICC division and earlier Chief Technology Officer of Identix. Dr. Griffin holds a BA from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, with both degrees in physics.
Mr. Maini is responsible for driving several cross-functional business initiatives, including new avenues for growth and innovation. He brings with him a wealth of experience in quantitative finance and business strategy, gained over diverse roles across WorldQuant, including General Manager of the firm’s crowdsourcing initiative, Portfolio Manager, Quantitative Researcher and Member of the Office of the CEO. Mr. Maini worked at McKinsey & Co. before joining WorldQuant in 2012 and holds a Master’s in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Mr. Beatty is responsible for helping to drive WorldQuant’s technology strategy. Prior to joining WorldQuant in 2021, Mr. Beatty spent more than 25 years at Goldman Sachs and was a partner at the firm. He held several leadership positions, including global head of Equities and Prime Services Technology, global head of Investment Research Technology and global co-head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Technology. Mr. Beatty was also a developer in the Commodities division, building risk applications for the energy and structured products businesses. He began his career as a software engineer, designing embedded controllers for cardiac equipment. Mr. Beatty holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Vermont.
