During a 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Forum speech, WorldQuant, LLC founder Igor Tulchinsky explains why he decided to start WorldQuant University to address the gap between talent and opportunity and make high-quality education more accessible globally. Citing the example of Amazon, which has turned the business model on its head for traditional booksellers, Tulchinsky says that WorldQuant University has an obligation to disrupt the antiquated educational system and create a more efficient higher-education program that meets the needs of today’s workforce living in a technologically driven world.
